COVID-19 aka Corona Virus

COVID-19 is currently identified in over 102 countries. With all the media coverage, it is important to be mindful, not frightful. Be prepared, not scared. Hysteria and toilet paper hoarding is not the solution to this pandemic. It is definitely not an excuse for hatred and racism. Please follow the CDC guidelines to keeping you and your families safe. Our office will be open with additional disinfecting precautions to serve those with visual and eye health needs. We don't recommend visiting a hospital or ER for eye health related problems at this time. Many eye care clinics are equipped to treat minor urgent eye care problems. Below are links to the CDC and common symptoms.

We recommend the following eyecare hygiene:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before handling your contact lenses. Avoid hand sanitizers when handling contact lenses as the alcohol can cause a chemical burn.

  • Wear glasses to avoid touching your eyes.

  • Treat your allergies eyes to prevent eye rubbing and scratching.

  • Use an eyelid cleanser to deep clean the areas around your eyelashes and face. We recommend Zocular Eyelid Cleanser.

  • Have backup eyeglasses and contact lenses.

  • Wash your hands often.

  • Practice proper contact lenses hygiene.
