Comprehensive Vision Exam

We do more than just prescribe glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Dau thoroughly examine the eyes for common refractive conditions, assess eye muscle alignment and movement, peripheral vision, the ability of your eyes accommodate (focus) and converge and the overall general health of your eyes. Dr. Dau makes sure your vision is clear AND comfortable. A comprehensive vision exam can detect conditions such as:

  • Myopia (nearsightedness)

  • Hypermetropia (farsightedness)

  • Astigmatism

  • Presbyopia

  • Amblyopia (Lazy eye)

  • Strabismus (Eye turn) 

  • Accommodative insufficiency or excess 

  • Convergence insufficiency or excess

Medical Eye Exam

In addition to routine Comprehensive Vison Exam, Dr. Dau can also evaluate the health of your eyes as an indicator of your overall systemic health. Dr. Dau can diagnose visual complications from conditions such as:

  • Cholesterol

  • Thyroid Dysfunction

  • Autoimmune Disease

  • High Risk Medications: Plaquenil
